XI · Truth & Balance
Justice
Truth · Accountability · Balance
Justice is the card of fairness and truth. It describes clear seeing, honest accounting and the understanding that actions have consequences. It asks you to weigh a situation carefully and to act with integrity.
What is on the card
A figure in a red robe sits between two pillars, holding an upright, double-edged sword in one hand and a pair of scales in the other. A purple veil hangs behind, and one foot steps forward from beneath the robe.
The scales are balance and careful judgement. The upright sword cuts both ways: truth can clarify and it can hurt, and it applies to everyone equally. The pillars frame a formal, impartial space, and the foot stepping forward suggests that a decision leads to action.
Justice, upright
Upright, Justice favours fair outcomes, honest decisions and taking responsibility for your part in a situation. It can relate to agreements, contracts or formal matters.
It also asks you to be truthful with yourself: to see the situation as it is, including the parts you would prefer not to look at.
Justice, reversed
Reversed, Justice can point to unfairness, a lack of accountability, or a decision made without all the facts. It may describe feeling judged, or judging yourself too harshly.
The reversed card asks where balance has been lost and what honest step would restore it.
Justice in love
In love, Justice asks for fairness and honesty: an equal give and take, and clear conversations about what each person needs. It can also point to a decision about the relationship’s future.
What it means for you: Where balance is needed in your relationship depends on your question and what is happening between you.

Usually “yes, if it is fair”.
As a yes or no card, Justice usually says the answer will reflect what is fair and true. It suggests honesty and careful choices will shape the outcome.
A meaning is general. Your reading is not.
